We shall see…..

Then was the first week of classes. Again, nothing terribly exciting. Granted, I start at 9:30am every day which is much earlier than I’ve ever started before (yes, I know, I’m VERY spoiled) but I like that I finish earlier than everyone else in the house. With the buttload of reading I have to do every night, the quiet time is important. But it’s not always quiet which is why I snagged some ear plugs from the library.

I only have class Mon-Thrus. That’s right, 4 days weeks, 3 day weekends. Personally, I think that’s how life was meant to be lived. I was much more productive and much more motivated to go to class when I knew I only had 4 days of it. Coffee is still my best friend, and this year I get to make it in my house! I don’t have to buy it on my way to class…probably going to save me a bundle.

Of course, I’m also buying and cooking all of my own food (save for the on campus meals my full ride boyfriend with a free meal plan treats me to every now and then). Right now I’m actually in the kitchen making potato salad for the week. I like to plan ahead since Mondays are a long day for me (from 9:30am till 6:40pm). I also made soup earlier which was delicious.

Turns out, after one week, I’m the only person in the house still cooking. Yay me!

We had a cookout yesterday, got pretty big. It was pretty entertaining, but then left to go to some other parties. That the thing about starting drinking at 4:30 in the afternoon. You’re home in and bed with cheesy fries watching Bring It On with your boyfriend by 12:30am. Aren’t we exciting? haha

All in all, it feels like I only just got here because nothing really crazy has happened yet! We are all still getting into the routine, and right now I’m back into school mode since it is Sunday night. Sure, I finished all my homework and aside from cooking I’m watching the new Futurama movie, but yeah, totally thinking about school.

This probably sounded like a laundry list of things that have been going on. Don’t worry, more interesting things to come. Oh, and I’ll leave you with a funny text from this morning/afternoon.

Oh college…

SO exciting.

Hopefully good times are ahead. I’d talk about summer, but most the fun stuff or interesting things that happened to me at work, I’m not really at liberty to talk about since my boss is a prominent member of the community. Boo.

Maybe someday… 21 in 6 months!!

For example. This was said to me by one of my nine-year-old students the other day.

“I love nailing you from the back!”

He meant hitting me in the back while sparring. Definitely did not come off that way.

The first addition I received from my Boyfriend (Ben, the new boy) about a month ago. Picture Related.

2) Yes, I mentioned “coming posts” in my last point. A promise is a promise (unless it’s missing an “s,” then it’s just a “promie”

3)I discovered Tumblr. Got me a little addicted for a while. Probably because it’s extremely user friendly. I encourage everyone to get one. www.tumblr.com

4) You can check out my tumblr, but I’m going to try and pull myself away from it and use this blog again. I’ve been bad over the summer, but I’ve also been spending a lot of time on facebook. No, you can’t have that.

5) Obviously no fun college stories (okay maybe 1 party story), but I have a few good quotes from work. Kid say the darndest things.

6) I’m not really sure why I’m using numbers for this post. It just seemed like the thing to do.

7) Pickles. I love pickle. Not random actually, I think I’ve developed an addiction.
